Heroes have spot at Broadway
Call it Heroes Harbor.
That’s the official name of the new corner of Broadway at the Beach where Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville restaurant debuted Monday.
Marked by a lighthouse and anchored by the restaurant, Heroes Harbor will have 50,000 square feet of shops and a Hunley exhibit. The exhibit and stores will open next month.
Broadway owner Burroughs & Chapin Co. Inc. originally had wanted to call the major expansion, the first in six years, the Caribbean Village. It changed its mind after deciding not to redo the existing Caribbean Village on the other side of the 350-acre complex. The new signs went up last week.
