The Orlando Sentinel has an article that endorses Buffett for the new state song: "There’s just one artist perfect for new state song"
Buffett is the only artist in America who captures us — or at least what we want to be. His easygoing calypso rhythms infused with steel drums and trumpet are the ticket to paradise. He throws in an occasional country tune and mixes it all with sweet ballads.
However, Buffett sings one wistful ballad that would make a lovely Florida state song. It’s called "I Have Found Me a Home." Several stanzas hearken back to what Florida was before the boom and the tourists hit.
