Margaritaville Became a Top Ten Single 30 Years Ago

Back in July 1977 "Margaritaville" peaked at number 8 on the Billboard Pop Singles chart, and number 1 on the Adult Contemporary chart. This was Jimmy Buffett’s only song to ever reach the top ten on the Pop or Hot 100 chart.

Some other Buffett songs that made the top 40 on the Billboard Pop Singles chart include "Come Monday" at number 30 in 1974, "Cheeseburger in Paradise" reached 32 in 1978, "Fins" reached 35 in 1979, and "Change in Lattidues, Changes in Attitudes" reached 37 in 1977.
