Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band brought the Workin’ n Playin’ tour to California for two shows. They performed on Thursday October 22nd at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles CA and on Saturday October 24th at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine CA.
The set list from the Los Angeles show had 23 songs including “Scarlet Begonias” and “Oldest Surfer On The Beach”.
The set list from the Irvine show had 25 songs including “Take Another Road”, “Uncle John’s Band (last played March 30 2012), and “Tin Cup Chalice”.
There is only one show remaining that is scheduled for this year: December 31st at the Barclays Center in New York.

The song is actually called “God’s Own Drunk” and the original version is on the CD “Living and Dyin in 3/4 time”. Also a great Live version on the double cd “You had to be there”. It is a cover by Jimmy as the song was written by Lord Buckley. Enjoy!!
When Jimmy first played in Australia back in 1987 at the State Theatre in Sydney he played God’s Own Drunk. When he sang the line..”that’s when I first saw the bear”, someone from the audience leapt up onto the stage fully dressed in a “Kodiak lookin’ ” bear outfit. It was brilliant, though he was quickly put back into the crowd, Jimmy and the band and the crowd went wild. A great moment at a JB concert.
