From KARE 11: “Margaritaville coming to Mall of America”
Get ready, Minnesota — it’s officially five o’clock somewhere.
Jimmy Buffet’s restaurant Margaritaville will open a new location at the mall in 2016. The full-service restaurant and entertainment space will be located on the third level, near the recently relocated Rainforest Cafe.
The restaurant is slated to be 9,000-square-feet and will open in the spring of 2016.
Early renderings of the space show multiple bars, a performance stage and a retail store within the Mall of America location.
The menu features house-made margaritas, frozen “boat drinks,” plus signature food items found in other locations like the Cheeseburger in Paradise and Volcano Nachos.
Margaritaville used to be such a cool concept. Now they are like Walgreen’s ( one on every street corner ).
