From NOLA.com: “Jimmy Buffett to replace Eddie Vedder at 2012 New Orleans Jazz Fest”
Jimmy Buffett has signed on to play an acoustic set at the New Orleans Jazz Fest on Thursday, May 3, in place of Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder. Vedder canceled his Jazz Fest show, and postponed the rest of his solo ukulele tour, because of a nagging injury to his arm.
Buffett’s Jazz Fest set on the Acura Stage will be his second New Orleans performance in five weeks. On April 1, he and the Coral Reefer Band closed out the NCAA Final Four’s free Big Dance concert series downtown at Woldenberg Park alongside the Mississippi River.
