THQ Inc announced that Margaritaville Online will launch in January and is now in Closed Beta. A select number of lucky players will join the “Buffett Beta Club” and experience the carefree, free-to-play paradise based on the lifestyle of legendary singer, songwriter and author Jimmy Buffett.
Buffett Beta Club members will have the chance to venture through Margaritaville Online in its current pre-release state, giving them access to play and party with great music and frozen concoctions. Additionally, those that join the exclusive club and provide their feedback will receive premium rewards, achievements and badges, along with a special treasure chest at the game’s official launch.
Membership is limited, but new batches of aspiring Margaritaville Online players will periodically be admitted throughout the test period. If membership is full, users can “Like” the game to receive updates when spots become available.
