From CBS4 in Miami: “Buffett Enters Into Partnership With Dolphins”
The Miami Dolphins have a new business partner and the team might be ready to take a trip to Margaritaville. Jimmy Buffett has accepted a business role with new Dolphins owner Stephen Ross. The two are longtime friends.
The team was not forthcoming with details, but Dolphin Stadium might get renamed “Landshark Stadium” for at least one year. Landshark is a beer that Buffett markets in a deal with Anheuser-Busch.
Dolphin stadium has lacked a corporate sponsorship for years. In the course of 13 months, the stadium has hosted a Dolphins playoff game, the BCS Championship Game, the Orange Bowl and will host next year’s Orange Bowl and the Super Bowl in February.
The Dolphins announced a news conference for next Friday that will feature Buffett where more details are expected to be announced.
