ST Barts questions

Post by luckyg71 »

ok, looking into honeymoon ideas for St Barts. I dont want to spend say over 5k for the non airfare items. Is that possible there for say 5 days? Who has been and what are the hotels I should look at?

Go to www.sbhonline.com it's a forum like this one with lots of folks who love to discuss all things St Barth. They can advise you on places to stay, where to eat etc. I have only had experience with one place Le Petit Morne - great views, moderately priced, clean, nice staff, pool. You would need to rent a car to go back and forth though. If you post something on that forum I almost guarantee a LOT of answers. You could also PM MacPhin, our BN resident expert on St Barth. She was my travel guide on the trip to see Jimmy there on 09. Have fun!

We rented a tiny cottage on the beachfront in Lorient. It was beautiful. We only stayed there four nights, so it was not too pricey.

If you wish to discuss, it's easier for me to talk then type all the info. I can pm you my phone number.
One cost cutting idea is to go in the off season (but not Sept or Oct., most places are closed for hurricane season/vacation).
