Radio Margaritaville on IPhone/IPad/Ipodtouch
I had been using an app called Pocket Tunes to get my sirius on my iphone, but they no longer stream those channels since they updated the sirius web player.
The good news is that i did a search in the program and a radio margaitaville link came up and it works! must stream from the RM web site. works on the wife's ipad too!
this is a lower coast alternative than Sirius....i think the program is about $20....and it records!

Thanx rluvbeach!!
HulaMoe has been using "Background Noise" on her iPad, which has worked great - and still is - but folks new to the iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch can't download it anymore, so we tried this out for our friends and it worked great. It took about 5 minutes for the in-app search to complete and show the one that worked (none of the Sirius channels work anymore) but we found it and it works great. Can do other things whilst listening, too. The price is a more reasonable $4.99 now.
Thanx again!
...and a belated welcome to BN!

Try the TuneIn Radio app for IPhones. The cost is free. +40,000 radio stations to chose from including Radio Margaritaville. Also try Beachfront Radio and Trop Rock 1290 from Panama City. Nice alternatives.

I use TuneIn on Android quite frequently. RM sounds good through it, not overly compressed or anything for an internet stream. I believe it plays at 112k or so. Sounds fine streamed through my car.catsway wrote:Try the TuneIn Radio app for IPhones. The cost is free. +40,000 radio stations to chose from including Radio Margaritaville. On my EVO I use TuneIn.
I can get Radio Margaritaville and Bubba the Love Sponge for free (plus thousands more). Those were the two reasons I ever had Sirius in the first place!

I went searching my TuneIn database for "Trop rock," and also found "The Shore," in Western NY.catsway wrote:Try the TuneIn Radio app for IPhones. I think RM may be only a short-term freebie - when I select it, it tells me I have x hours and y minutes remaining.

I've been using it on Android for ages. Are you sure you're not looking at the time left in the current show (which shows up for most stations)?TropicalTroubador wrote:I went searching my TuneIn database for "Trop rock," and also found "The Shore," in Western NY.catsway wrote:Try the TuneIn Radio app for IPhones. Nope, just the streaming ends then, so you just need to refresh it.I think RM may be only a short-term freebie - when I select it, it tells me I have x hours and y minutes remaining.
