Advice on Charlotte show
Help! We are Charlotte Virgins (not Buffett Virgins). I need info, advice, etc. What time do the gates open, what is allowed, etc? Lakewood's rules on their website, as we all know, are always different when it's Parrotheads coming to town. Is it the same way for Charlotte? (PLEASE DON'T SEND ME A LINK TO THE "WHO'S GOING TO CHARLOTTE"--I DON'T HAVE TIME TO READ THAT MANY PAGES) Thanks!

Re: Advice on Charlotte show
Over the years, Charlotte has always TRIED to be strict on no tailgating rules, and what time the parking lots open. But whenever Jimmy comes to town they seem to lighten up some. Last year I think they said the lots wouldnt open till 3 and we were in at 12:30pm. Plus tents were up all over the place. I think just like Lakewood, when the Parrotheads come to town, all the rules get thrown out.fin fan wrote:Help! We are Charlotte Virgins (not Buffett Virgins). Re: Advice on Charlotte show
Three or four years ago they tried to get real strict and didn't open the gates to the lots until 5:00. As a result they had a traffic jam that went for 5 miles back to I-85 and had thousands of vehicles like us that pulled off on both sides of the road outside the lots and set up grills, tents, etc. on the shoulder. It was a total disaster!!! Jimmy didn't start the show until almost 45 minutes late because everyone was still trying to get there. Since then they have backed off and we have had no problems - have gotten in around 3:00, set up tents, displays, etc. and had a great time. Good luck!
