Their system is probably overwhelmed with ticked off customers.

Yeah, well, perhaps sweetie, you should have done at least this minimal amount of homework before the ticket sales began.

She's got to take at least some accountability.

Well.................I have to agree with everyone else...........Live Nation sucks!!!!! I kept getting the error messages up until 10:30 or so..........and then I even got a message that said that there were no more seats available for the Charlotte show!!!!! Also out of desperation, I tried again around 10:45 or so, and by some miracle of the Twelve Volt Man, I was able to get in - and actually ended up with pretty good seats. I consider myself very lucky, especially after reading all of the posts on here. I will have to say that it was the worst experience I've ever had when trying to buy tickets!!!!! [smilie=crying.gif]

It's obvious that the recession has hurt concert sales. There are still plenty of seats available at all of the shows being sold on Livenation. You can even pick your own seats.

I want to know what the charity fee is for? I thought charity donations were an individual's option: to donate or not.

I was able to get right in and find 8 seats, though I didnt purchase them, I wanted to see if I was able to get to that point... is the problem that everyone is having after that point?

I am able to easily make it to the point of credit card info??

Also, I wonder if it would be easier to go to one of their retail outlets??

Any input on that??? Their retail outlets are Blockbuster stores..... ?

Most likely it is for Singing For Change: http://www.margaritaville.com/index.php?page=sfcarea If you have purchased a ticket from a retailer for a JB concert in the last 2 decades or so you have made this contribution with every ticket.

Chill. Unless you're really angling for front rows, you'll have your choice of tickets at reasonable (even below *face value*) if you just wait.
No doubt. Tickets will be out there for face value or scalpers are going to have to eat them like last year. Just a shame you can't easily get them online. As much as I hate Ticketmaster, I have never had a problem getting tickets.
Agreed with you guys on this. I ate half my costs on a pair and that was to Buffett fans (not full Parrotheads). There were practically tickets blowing around the parking lot shortly before the concert started. And the economy certainly hasn't gotten any BETTER since last year......

Ahh, if that's the "charity donation" very true, that has been on every ticket and I don't have a problem with that.

exactly. I have no idea what charity is named, and I have no urge to donate with a gun to my head. that is less charity, and more robbery

I'm assuming that's today? The problem was at the time the onsale started and the best selection of tickets was available.
And Blockbuster won't be rolled out til March, too late for most of the concerts. My local outlets had no idea what I was talking about when I called them.

Chicago ad says $1 per ticket is for Singing for Change. Far less than the charity fee folks are reporting from Live Nation.

The only comments I have seen about the charity fee have been for $1. I was charged $1 per ticket, just like I have been charged $1 per ticket for the last 2 decades or so. Because Jimmy wants it that way.
RinglingRingling wrote:I have no urge to donate with a gun to my head.
JIMMY is the one who is putting the "gun to your head" for a $1 donation per ticket, not Live Nation. If you want to see a Jimmy Buffett show, you will pay the $1 per ticket "donation" to SFC. He has been doing this for 2 decades or so.
