Good Morning Dave, BN'ers to come.
One week out to Memorial Day, the unofficial start to summer. Enjoying middle of summer temps here in the Mitten state though so all is good.
Enjoy this 20th day of May gang!

Good morning Dave and Ken!
Glad you still found your key, Dave.
Work is busy.. and stupid.
Beautiful day here. Rain and cooler tomorrow.
That's about all I got for now.

Good afternoon.
Bike Week ended yesterday. I don't know if there were fewer bikers here than usual but it didn't seem as crowded. In past years it wasn't unusual to see groups of 30-40 bikers cruising down Hwy 17. Last week I think the largest group I saw was about 7 or 8. Maybe I was just out at the wrong time. Or the right time, depending on your point of view. We'll be doing it all over again this weekend, Memorial Day weekend is Bike Fest.

we will need to venture out to a grocery store -- hopefully, it won't be at the same time/place of the bikers

I wanted to get a haircut so I opened the app on my phone to see how long the wait was, I didn't want to get there and have to wait for 1/2 hour. The app said the wait was 0 minutes, I've never seen that before. I checked in online, got in the car and drove there. I was done in 10 minutes and I don't look shaggy anymore.

Bike Fest events are usually in the North Myrtle Beach/Atlantic Beach area and downtown Myrtle Beach by the boardwalk. Stay away from those places and you'll avoid most of the bikers.Saltx3 wrote: May 20, 2024 3:08 pmwell darn -- we will arrive around noon on Saturday but will spend most of our time at the house unpacking the 1st 2 u-boxes that will arrive on Friday.LIPH wrote: May 20, 2024 12:28 pm Good afternoon.

Hi there! We have prime seats for Peter Mayer in Cleveland during August. He plays in a bar 80 miles away in July as well. It's in a ski resort town with places to stay within walking distance. I may need to coax Anne into 2 shows.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Bugger.
I still can't post my island time picture.
Even as the spell of being on the island is starting to fade and the real word intrudes.
I think I shall turn a nelsonian blind eye to reality and simply believe I am still at the OPH.
