Middle WEDNESDAY @ the MSC

Post by Saltx3 »

Good Morning!

We have 2 Wednesdays down and 2 to go for November-- not that it means a whole lot :).

I'm leaving work at 1:00 today -- we got another appointment for Kevin's mom. We called her last night to tell her and again she asked why we wanted her to go. Kevin said "Mom you are forgetting things and we're worried about you". Her response "well, I only forgot that one thing". We didn't bother to ask what one thing it was.

Work is slow right now so I've been able to do a lot of paperwork that has laid around the last year while I was in a huge learning mode and since I had no training. Yesterday the Twp Mgr closed the office for 2 hrs and took all of us to lunch. While we were there he thanked each of us specifically (around the table). When he got to me he said "I guess Linda may not be here next year at this time since she could be leaving us in the summer". One person apparently didn't know this fact and said "Hey -- we can hook her up to work from home like all of us did during covid". His answer "well, that may work" :o

Happy Humpday PHolks!
Hank Hill : Just in case I'm incapacitated for some reason, do you know how to start a man's heart with a downed power line?

Bobby: No.

Hank : Well, there's really no wrong way to do it.

Good morning Linda, Dave, and Charles! :)

Another day of stupidity at work. I'm now having to train someone to cover my desk when I'm out for the next surgery. Ummm.. this person has to have access to everything that I do, and I know she currently does NOT have access and probably won't in time.

E and I are going to a beer/dessert pairing/tasting tonight at our favorite brewery. :)

Good luck, Linda!!

Have a good Wednesday! :D

Hey, that's not true! OK, so I can't remember what I had for dinner last night, and I can't remember what it was that I went downstairs for, and I don't know what day it is, but other than that.... Wait, what were we talking about? Oh, yeah…. Dinner!

Time for a rerun:
An elderly couple were having dinner at another couple's house, and after eating, the wives leave table and go into the kitchen.
The two guys are talking, and one says, 'Last night we went to that new restaurant and it was really great. I recommend it very highly.'
The other guy says, 'What new restaurant?'
The first guy thinks and thinks and finally says, 'What's the name of that flower you give to someone you love? You know... The one that's red and has thorns.'
'Do you mean a rose?'
'Yes, that's the one,' he says and turns towards the kitchen and yells, 'Hey Rose, what's the name of that restaurant we went to last night?

You know that little voice in your head that keeps you from saying things you shouldn't?
I should probably get one of those....

Hi there! What a day! I hauled the boat to breakfast, then fished the river a few hours, went back to the diner f\to meet Anne and a friend for lunch, dropped the boat off then drove into town to work on the light display. Once back home we went back to town for McDonalds.

I caught a big fishy as well.

Update on mom:

Nurse gave her a “memory” test. Dr came in and She scored 19. For her age and school level the low should be a 25. Dr said he’s concerned about her.

We talked almost an hour. She has some blood work to get and an open MRI has been ordered (ins has to approve first). She has another appt on Dec 13. At least one of us will be at that one. He was pretty blunt with her. He Talked about her visiting some “independent living retirement” communities now before it’s too late and she needs to go to any place that can take her. Her response “we’ll need to talk about that”. (She won’t let that happen any time soon)
