Bottom line...everything you post on the internet is there forever...be it BN, Myspace or Facebook or whateverelseyoumaybeinto. We already know employers look at these sites when considering folks for employment, so I try to only post pretty benign stuff. I can't control what other people post, but I would hope folks would think before posting and tagging unflattering pics or stories. And I limit my stuff to "only friends". I hadn't joined any of these sites until recently, but had gotten a lot of FB invites. Feedback from all of them was that FB was a vast improvement over Myspace. Whether or not that is true is up to the individual, but I've not had any issues as of yet. My only problem is trying to put real names with BN names. Come on folks...post your screennames!
