When my she-'keets were little, every Sunday was "special breakfast Sunday" and they got their choice of pancakes, french toast, or waffles.
Waffles was usually the choice. I later added crepes to the menu and that was, unfortunately, usually the choice. I preferred making waffles because the waffle iron did most of the work.
They are now 33 and 38 but will still invoke the "special breakfast Sunday" anytime either is home for a visit.
