So I know we are bat sh*t crazy, but we have decided to bring the 'keet! Mrs. Bucarader called the venue and they told her that kids under 2 did not need a ticket. We can keep her in her stroller on the lawn. Last year we were in the front of the lawn and there was a sidewalk, for easy escape if she gets fussy. Are we smoking crack to attempt this?
We just need to be there early again.
Does anyone know what time the gates open? I wonder if it it will be like last year and when the gates open at 5, then the lawn opens at 6, meaning you have to line up twice.

All the cars are in one big lot. If I remember correctly, the rv without hookups are right next to it. The premiere car parking lot is over by the rv parking with hookup. We had a blast in the regular day parking lot. Easy access to where the margaritaville bus set up last year and they had a shuttle that took people between the lots.

This is Lot A, with the arrow pointed to where we were approximately last year I think. As txaggirl91 said, it was a great location on the end of a row, with a little grass to our side.

There is a Waffle House at 71 and Riverside. We met there last year. It is the best place to meet up before you get to the venue. It is right there with all the hotels by the airport.
Lots open at 9. I was thinking if we meet at 7:30, drive out no later than 8. That would get us to the venue around 8:20ish so we can get in line to get into the venue.
We had an EXCELLENT tailgate spot last year and I would like to grab one like it this year.

Is it worth maybe buying "two" spots and putting a pop-up or such in one of them so that we can have a little space to spread out? I haven't been to Austin before so am not familiar with how they are laid out or the spacing, but I know Frisco has gotten more and more crowded each year with more rules and just last year, we got grief for using a "median strip" grassy area for our grill and pop-up.

We bought an extra space, with that idea. We'll see. Not sure when we are getting there yet. Multiple parties involved, etc, and I'm just not going to stress getting there super early. With no real planned phlocking, I'm just going to play it by ear.

I have at least one person already "concerned" about the early start. She pointed out that she is not a 'sprinter', but marathons are not her thing either. LOL. I reassured if that if she got up early, we would find a place to stick her so she could catch a nap mid-day and keep going.

4 Parrothead clubs will be set up in the northwest corner of Lot A. We are bringing our EZ up to set up there, so find us if you want some shade.

We are set up in lot A. Right on the end, across from the A3. 5 sign. We've got a blue pop up tent and a dark green pop up tent. The Aggie flag is on the outside.
