Just got mine!

When I stopped in at 10:00 a.m. to pick it up on my day of errands today, there were four boxes of unopened dvds by the empty display case.

I asked the guy if they had it in stock. He gave me a weird look and said, "Well, I suppose I could open a few boxes here to see if we have it."

He did. Three minutes later, he handed me one of the only copies he could find.

It was marked $10.00 (instead of $10.98 that walmart.com has it listed for).

Grabbed my copy and am happy to have it. Own most of everything of JB's cd's, but am practically empty on the dvd front (save Mini-Matinee).

SO, yes, I'll gladly PREMIERE it tonight at my house with a cold margarita!

Looking forward to watching it tonight! 8)

It's worth it for the Paris video alone. Image
(I got mine for $8.82 at Sam's)
And, yes, Larry, there's a very good shot of you at the end. 8)

Thats what I think too.

"He Went To Paris" performed in that little club was amazing.

The sound of the guitar and his voice was just,.........WOW!

If you are looking for it, DO go to Sam's Club.

I picked up mine for $8.82 over there, though I had to dig in to the boxes under the shelf. Either they sold out of the stock they had put out or no one got into the box marked "Do Not Sell until June 3".

But, I found it! And yes, it says it has two "bonus tracks" of 5 O'Clock and Hey Good Lookin'.

Anyone watch the entire thing from A to Z?

Wonder how it "flows" as a dvd.

Will know here in a moment. The blender is calling me to make a drink!

Enjoy!

I bought the first copy at our local WalMart on Tuesday morning going to work. The clerk had to go to the stockroom and open the box (she was actually very pleasant and helpful). I plan to give it as a gift to some friends who are attending their first JB concert with us at Nissan in August.

My wife & I watched it last night. I have to admit it is edited very well, flows nicely from song to song, and the clips from Paris, Cincinnati, and Indiana shows are worth seeing.

It is worth $10 (or around $8 at Sam's Club)? For new fans preparing for their first concert I'd say "yes".... :pirate:

Cheeseburger in Paradise could make for a good, quick drinking game... drink every time there's a wardrobe change!!

I agree it's well worth the $10 or less, just for He Went to Paris... and it's definitely good to pop in the DVD player if'n you have an indoor get-together.

Watched mine last night, worth the money to me! Loved the Paris video and the Hawaii version of WDWGDAS! I don't have the Mini Matinee so it was nice to see all these videos. The flow between the different songs is choppy but you have to expect that when jumping from year to year and show to show. But again all-in-all worth it!

Wow! What a difference a busy week makes!

I have not watched it yet.

However, it seems fitting because I'm going to kick off the weekend and Friday night with some boat drinks and the PREMIERE in my house of the dvd.

Should be fun! Will post my 2 cents after watching it.

Have a nice weekend everyone! The mountains of Colorado are WARMING UP! HOORAY! 8)

Father, forgive me for I have sinned. It was three days before I picked up the DVD. But I didn't open it yet. And there are 6 videos I haven't seen.

Three verses of Cheeseburger and denounce GOP's.

Oh thank you father. I shall never wait this long to buy a Buffett product again.

Yes you are weak my child.

May I have some of that wine father?

Hola folks.

I'm a few margaritas down the street from a few more margaritas. Ha.

Just finished watching SCENES YOU KNOW BY HEART.

Imagine that. I loved it!

Here are my initial thoughts:

First off, the menu screen is cool. The sharks in the water have permanently hypnotized me while the volcano is blowing up in the backround.

Having watched this thing from A to Z as we enjoyed Boat Drinks, I had a thought about halfway through the viewing:

I'm a Rock Star!

What do I mean by that? There were enough places being skipped to from song to song that I was getting a nice buzz while simultaneously thinking, "Where the hell are we now?"

The nomadic lifestyle of a rock star performing somewhere, then waking up somewhere else to perform again with a new backdrop and crowd.

Granted, there weren't a thousand different places, but once you jump from Anguilla to Vegas to Hawaii and so on, you get the point.
Anyways. That was random, but that was the random thought in my head.

What else? Others have said it, but I'll have to agree: IT IS WORTH HAVING FOR THE "HE WENT TO PARIS" segment IN PARIS. That was probably the DEEPEST performance I've ever seen from Jimmy. Very powerful. If you were there LIVE for that, good for YOU!
That song also made me think of my new friends WAYNE and CATHI of Miramar Beach and how they were lucky enough to attend the Freddy and the Fishsticks Show in New Orleans not too long ago.
Intimate shows are the best!
I saw Bob Dylan in a small venue and that was great. Anyways. I digress (as you can tell).

Overall, a fun and very worthwhile dvd to own for me. It was almost as if Jimmy told me, "So Ryan..........you own shirts, glasses, cd's and so much other sh!t of mine, but YOU DON'T HAVE THE LIVE DVD'S?!?! Well then, LET ME HELP YOU OUT MY FRIEND!!!!!! Here are the cliff notes from most of the dvd's and a bonus or two for ya! PUT THIS DVD IN YOUR BLENDER and ENJOY!!!!!!!!"

And, to think I was in a really bad mood before I put the dvd in tonight.
Thank you for that great music that we all love! It helped me find my smile again tonight.
