Totality MONDAY@ the MSC
Good morning BN. WE are in the path, but I'm staying in. I won't risk eye damage. Moot point though, it looks cloudy today.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good morning Bill and BN!!
In Springfield VA today. Going to the Marine Corps Museum, not here for the eclipse. It's a very cool thing, tho.
Got to stop by and my nephew yesterday. I sent him a text earlier in the day, and he was totally surprised.
Saw the Marine Corps memorial yesterday and it was amazing.

"The path of totality"... I couldn't be much farther off path and still be in the country!
I've always tried to be on the path of good intentions, and sometimes the path of righteousness, and many times the path of least resistance, but never even heard of the path of totality.I know the voices in my head aren’t real, but sometimes they have really good ideas…..

Good morning.
Last night on the news the weather guy said we'll get between 70-75% during the eclipse. It's supposed to start just before 2:00pm, the peak will be at 3:15 and it'll be gone by 4:00. I didn't get a pair of eclipse glasses so I'll probably just stay inside during our window of the eclipse.

Waiting for my boss to get back with her lunch and then I'll be heading home
We have the apocalypse eclipse glasses....not sure if we'll head to one of the local beaches for viewing or if we'll just head out to the backyard.

I saw that on one of my trips to DC, it's a very impressive sight. It must be about 35 years, maybe more, since I was there.

It got noticeably darker about 15-20 minutes before we were supposed to be at our peak of 70-75% of the eclipse. I was inside reading and I had to turn a light on.

Glad you got it! Erie saw the eclipse and they are 50 miles away. Oh well, maybe it will be sunny the next time. Our oldest daughter and the grands are in Westfield, NY and we're really lucky that the clouds parted just enough at just the right time for them to see it in totality.bodypainter wrote: ↑April 8, 2024 7:06 pmGlad you got it! Re: Totality MONDAY@ the MSC
It was clear here and we were in the 92% area.
I have to say it was really cool to experience.
I went about 4 miles to a lake to make sure there were no trees in the way, while Hubby opted to stay home. As it turned out he had a great view off our deck! Oh, well... the lake was beautiful!
I did get a few pics of the end of the eclipse once I returned home and could put his eclipse lenses on my camera 's lens.
Our daughter in the Finger Lakes region of NY traveled about 30 minutes north to get into the area of totality... but it was pretty cloudy. She did send a photo of how dark it had gotten though... BIG difference from here!
