Beer Can SUNDAY @ the MSC
Good morning!
Today is National Beer Can Appreciation Day ! I appreciate preparing my own empty beer can (although I prefer a draft ).
BEER CAN APPRECIATION DAY
Beer Can Appreciation Day recognizes the great day in 1935 when beer was first sold in cans.
Credit for the first beverage can goes to the Krueger Brewing Company of Richmond, Virginia. Made of steel and weighing in at almost 4 ounces, these hefty canisters opened with a church-key.

Re: Beer Can SUNDAY @ the MSC
Good morning Linda. I have a beer can milestone. I bit my nails my whole life and quit a month ago.
I can finally open a beer without using a tool, now that my nails are grown out.

If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good morning Linda and Bill! Slept in a bit. Still foggy here in Galveston, but can see the waves a little more.
Bill? I had that same habit as a kid, so I understand! Good for you!
Off to see what is for breakfast!

Good Morning All!
We are having fog from the gulf over here in Sarasota as well. I am hoping that it is due to warmer air moving in! We will be painting our bedroom today. Hope you all have a peaceful Sunday.

Re: Beer Can SUNDAY @ the MSC
Good Sunday after Wedding Saturday. We stayed overnight at the inn where the wedding was. Met the newly married couple for breakfast at a local diner and now we're home with the grandkids sitting in front of a fire while the kids watch classic Looney Toons on dvd.
Threw meatballs and sauce in the crockpot for an easy dinner tonight and I think I might need a nap!
The wedding went off without a hitch and all of my daughter's were beautiful, but the bride was simply stunning! (Although I may be biased) The zoom hook up worked very well for those who couldn't attend in person. I wish I was savvy enough to post pictures.

Snow overnight up here in Wisconsin, and temps in the mid-20s. Should be good news for the Packers when they kick it off to the warm-weather Buccaneers over at Lambeau Field later today.
Will probably create one or two empty (root) beer cans myself during the course of the game.....

Re: Beer Can SUNDAY @ the MSC
Day 3, or is it 4?, of the heatwave.
Back to work for one day the we have a public holiday on Tuesday. Tuesday is supposed to be the hottest of the days.
As is usual we have had a spate of drowning due to the hot weather - people who can't swim mostly, who jump into the sea at unpatrolled parts of beaches (because there are less people there!).
Or people without any experience fishing off the rocks in the big swell areas...
It's all a little Darwinian but you do feel sorry for their families.

We get that every summer in my county too. I guess it's a lil comforting for me to know it happens all over the world.Rabbitz wrote: ↑January 24, 2021 4:01 pm Day 3, or is it 4?, of the heatwave.
