Good rain last night. When I heard hard rain pop up I moved my car out from under car port to get much need rinsing. Should also keep Dust Bowl conditions down here at the office for today anyway.
Had late night last night. Got wrapped up in I-tunes Store. No PP&M or Dylan music surfing last night for me.
Start sampling some Los Straitjackets & their Surf Guitar catalog. Love me some Surf Guitar! Couple hours later it seemed it was "last call (shortly before 2 am) so I had to remove myself away from computer for much needed shuteye.
Enjoy your July 29 pholks!!
I have been getting sucked into Netflix shows lately. Do the same thing---look up at the clock thinking it is like an hour later and it is after midnight. Thank goodness it is summer break for me otherwise I would be more cranky than usual at work.
Afternoon, all! Might have to cut grass after all that rain. My garden sure likes it, though. garden fresh tomatoes are amazing!!!
Not very often that there are open windows at Ringville.....someone (namely me) has horrible tree pollen and rag weed allergies which after 12 years of monthly allergy shots aren't much better. So I stopped the shots awhile back when the allergist said I was as good as I was going to get.
But I do love feeling the air move through the house and how it makes everything smell good (both of which don't occur very often at the same time).
sorry about the allergies. My windows are open more than they are closed once it starts to get warm out. It is 81 with low humidity right now so it is beautiful. In my previous life I lived with someone who HATED having the windows open once the air conditioner was turned on, even if it was cool and dry outside. His argument was I was "letting in humidity" but I couldn't rationalize having them closed when it was 65 outside and 78 inside. Drove me batty. Now that I live alone and make my own rules there have been some days that the AC runs during the day and is turned off so windows can be opened at night. Especially since we have had so many hot dry with cooler nights this summer.

The lead story on the 5:00 news was heavy rain this afternoon giving us relief from the heat and humidity. Not where I live. The temperature may have dropped a few degrees but it's more humid than it was before the rain.

You really shouldn't joke about stuff like that. The dipstick in the Jones Beach thread might think you're serious and start asking for shows that never happened.

I am one of those with no open windows. Too many allergies and asthma. I also don't like ac blowing on me. Almost year round, I am wrapped in a throw.

You should have sent him multiple copies of "Trippin' Billies" and then said "Sorry, I thought this was Jones Beach...."
I know the voices in my head aren’t real, but sometimes they have really good ideas…..

All windows open here. With fans on we are at a tolerable low 80s.
But no humidity. Fresh salty air, buoy sounds, and after dark we will be in the high 50s.
Deb, and Linda Sue, and Princess N.B. marveled at the open windows when they visited.

Well, that takes me back! It's like the Ventures are still alive(and better than ever before).
Or an another Aussie mob The Atlantics with the same song:
And of course the original by Midnight Oil
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.
