Wine. Yes
Cheese. Yes
Hello all. Back from the gym and a grab of my fave DD coffee. I now have the beginnings of French onion chicken on the stove. Next up, get the laundry started and then a quick trip to the pharmacy. We will have grandson #2 (the 6 yr old with the army daddy) overnight as Brandon was called out on another weekend covid mission and Austin’s mommy works 3-11 today. We will all be glad when Brandon’s 5 month active duty tour ends on July 31.
It looks like the sun is trying really hard to break through the clouds and fog. I hope it’s successful since Austin and I would love to go swimming this afternoon.

Afternoon BNers
I just don't get wine. If I drink wine, it has to be sweetish kind. And then, I still not a fan.

Good afternoon.
I did laundry so while I was waiting for the dryer to shut off I started flipping through the channels to see if there was anything good on TV. There was a baseball game, the Cubs are playing the Brewers, so I decided to watch a couple of innings. The Pelicans are a Cubs minor league team and the Brewers also have a team in the Carolina League so I thought there might be some players I've seen play in the minors. A Brewers player came up to bat and the announcer said "his ability to put the barrel of the bat on the ball is amazing." I long for the days when sports announcers spoke simple English, like "this guy can hit."

Re: National Wine and Cheese Day Saturday @ the MSC
I went to work and got a call from the middle daughter that she was stranded on the interstate and couldn't get ahold of her dad. I left work to go get her and she had AAA tow the car to our house. We got back home and dad said his phone was broken He is trying to reboot it? Anyway, I was 30 minutes late for my birthday pedicure...but I got it done and now I'm home having a margarita and the youngest daughter is coming to get the middle daughter and take her home. Her car has now been towed to our local mechanic. What a day....

I have a couple bottles of wine in the kitchen, been there probably 10 years. I'm not a wine drinker.

i like cheese too. I don't snack on cheese with wine. i prefer salty snacks with wine and beer. Cheese may accompany them.SMLCHNG wrote: ↑July 25, 2020 5:23 pmWine and cheese together, or just don't like cheese??bodypainter wrote: ↑July 25, 2020 3:46 pm Hi there! Evening, peeps.
Wine & cheese... [smilie=yum.gif]
All the thunderstorms went south of us. Gorgeous sunny weather. In laws are still here, for two more nights. Tonight we're off to a little seafood place with a deck over the water. They picked out a different place for "last dinner" tomorrow night before they leave on Monday.
Planning on diet boot camp for August.
Happy Saturday, y'all!
