Morning All,

For the last couple of months work has been insane. For example, over the last three weeks I had a task where I had to update and/or create 174 illustrations for one series of manuals. My brain almost exploded.

Come (last) Monday that task finished. Now I am in a "valley of inactivity". Working remotely and being not busy feels even more like I am bludging. I guess I'll just have to hassle some other teams for work.

It is driving me nuts - I think I prefer to be insanely busy.

(I bet my 20 year old self would have never said that!)

Our work got really slow for a while but in the last 2 weeks it has blown up. I relate it to animals hibernating. People have been hibernating/staying at home for a while but now are allowed to go out. But, they forgot what it was like in the 'real' world. They're just doing dumb stuff & not thinking. Like they're trying to shake off the sleepy-nes πŸ™„ Maybe I'm giving them the benefit of dumbness but it's really happening!

I think that the dumbness is a world-wide problem - look at what is being elected at all levels of government. The dumbness will bite us all :)

Oh I'm a true believer that most of the people are dumb & I see that everyday at work! I just want to hopefully fulfill my time to be able to retire to my island where the only dumb people that I allow on are me friends

It's my 'Friday' - until hopefully July 6th. But it won't be a fun time off.. But I'll take it.

Curious Linda, why only 37.5, and not 40 hours?

Off to work I go! TTFN!!

Drinks later!
not sure but most law firms in our county are also 37.5.
Half hour lunch each day taken out?

Most county departments give a one hr lunch with 2 15 min breaks. One in the a.m. and one in the p.m.

Since the courtrooms are closed from 12-1:30 and the judicial staff can’t just walk out of chambers at set times, our 30 min β€œbreaks” are added to our lunch hour. Yep, that means I get a 90 min lunch.

Ah, makes sense now. Different, but thank you for the explanation!
