My name's Beth and I'm from the great state of country music (known as Nashvegas....need I say more? ). I've been a parrothead since I was a little baby back in 1983 (I could whistle before I could talk, soooo....). I can't pick just one favorite song, since I love them all. I do have a particular fondness for "Jolly Mon" and "Fins".


As it states in my signature, my pop was a BIG time parrothead. He lost his battle to cancer on July 1st of this year (sheesh, it feels like forever ago but it's still July for a little bit longer! X_X), so at his celebration of life, we played A Pirate Looks At Forty. Not your usual funeral song, but hey...it was totally him.

It's hard, I admit that. I keep wondering when he would call, but I know he's fine now.
Still, it'll take a while for the hole in my heart to heal.
If that wasn't bad enough, my older brother had an emergency appendix removal (he's a-ok now) a few weeks ago.
