Houston/CWMP 2017?

They are from Houston. ZZ Top is playing at the Rodeo next month, so that would basically be two shows in three months if they played with Buffett. Plus, ZZ Top can sell out CWMP, Toyota Center, or anywhere else they played in Houston all on their own without splitting the gate.

Last year ZZ Top was scheduled to play with Jimmy in Frisco. Then Dusty Hill separated his shoulder about a month out and Jimmy had Jerry Jeff Walker play with him at the last minute. Call it a make up date.

Makes sense about the Citi card pre-sale. This sounds like a LiveNation deal. I'm getting lawn seats, so I'm not worried about tomorrow. And judging from the declining traffic on this site the past few years, I just don't see much interest anymore like there once was.

Call your hotel, and tell them you want to arrive early. I bet they accommodate you.

All noise at the CWMP must stop by 11pm due to a noise ordinance. The pavilion is surrounded by neighborhoods and businesses, and they get mighty testy over the noise thing. We saw Dan Fogelberg at his last concert at the pavilion, and he said they really want the artist off the stage by 10:30 pm. Jimmy usually starts about 8:10 to 8:15 pm and plays for close to 2 1/2 hours. If you add an act before that, then you really start cutting it close. I think Ilo was the last opener he had in Houston, and he only did 3 songs--so not really worth it if you ask me.

Ilo played three songs before every concert in 2010 and 2011. In my opinion, 2011 (Welcome to Finland Tour) was the best one ever. I loved Ilo playing the theee song into.

I wish we had those tours on video.
