Twas certainly hot here today.
off and on to be honest. I was not impressed with the venue, especially since it has been booked for almost a year and they had a full itinerary of what we were doing and needed. Several people with confirmation numbers were told they did not have rooms and were scrambling to other lodging on Friday when they arrived. There was limited service for the lunch today and tables were without water. The pitchers they gave us had such wide spouts that you couldn't pour water without spilling it all over. Our luncheon activity was delayed almost an hour as they insisted to take down tables that we didn't need. We had to go get someone to clear tables from lunch and then they got all irritated because we were doing a wine a cheese snack with our painting activity. It was written into the contract that we would be bringing in 4 blocks of cheese and 3 bottles of wine when it was signed last October. They got all angry and said we couldn't do that after giving us the platters we asked for to put the cut cheese on.....After that the room got hot and muggy. I personally think they turned off the A/C after several of us cancelled our reservation for tonight because of the poor service.
It is sad because it is a nice venue...just didn't work for our group.
well, ummmmmmm, yah, I guess I better come up with something witty to put in this spot since everyone is reading it.......

Oh my goodness! How awful. That doesn't sound good at all. I don't know how much more expensive it would have been, but the best hotel in town is downtown and called the "H" Convenient to the Loons and just down the street from our shop Imagine That!
