Atlanta date has to be announced soon. Imagine a summer show, as usual. Just hope we are back at Lakewood & not in Duluth INSIDE...

Re: Atlanta 2016
If Jimmy comes to Atlanta this year, it'll be in April based on current confirmed dates:
Saturday Apr 16, 2016 - Virginia Beach, VA
Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater
Tuesday 4/19/2016 – Birmingham, AL
Oak Mountain Amphitheater
Thursday 4/21/2016 – Raleigh, NC
Walnut Creek Amphitheater
Saturday 4/23/2016 – Charlotte, NC
PNC Music Pavilion
That leaves April 26 (Tuesday), April 28 (Thursday) or April 30 (Saturday), if he comes directly after Charlotte. And if he does, April 26 is the most likely date, unless the venue he wants already has something booked for that date.
For what it's worth, I saw Springsteen at Lakewood on April 26 and the weather was great! Not too cold like some of the other April Lakewood shows in the past, but I don't know if Jimmy and crew are looking at Lakewood or a different venue, or at Atlanta at all this year.
That's an interesting tour schedule. The drive from Virginia Beach to Birmingham is 11 hours, then Birmingham to Raleigh is 8 hours, but Charlotte is just a couple hours south of Raleigh. It wouldn't surprise me to see Jimmy hit Atlanta on April 26, then head to the Gulf Coast or Florida.

I agree about hoping he comes to Lakewood. Other venues just don't do it for us. Best tailgate and lawn section ever!

Re: Atlanta 2016
With Jimmy & Reefers play Nashville on May 26, one would think ATL is May 21 or 24. Really dont see him kicking-off "new" tour on a Tues. So here's hoping for Sat, May 21 in The A!
Someday I will.

Re: Atlanta 2016
The Atlanta show will not be in April as the four April shows are the final leg of the 2015 "Workin and Playin Tour". Atlanta already had a show on this tour on June 2, 2015.
The Atlanta date could be in June again this year

Re: Atlanta 2016
I do not know the exact cause, but it has been rumored for a couple of years that JB will never play Lakewood again, and this makes a third straight year that he has bypassed Lakewood. Having talked to several of their employees, they hate to see him play there, saying that he is one of the most difficult acts to work with, and is extremely demanding. Other than that...... who knows. Personally, I have been attending shows there since the venue opened in 1989, but I also really do not want to attend a show there anymore, mainly because the venue is located in one of the most crime ridden areas of Atlanta, and on my last visit there, the venue looked terribly rundown. It has been getting that way ever since LiveNation took it over. Gwinnett might be an indoor venue, but at least it is kept clean, in excellent condition, and you can attend a show there and feel safe.

Re: Atlanta 2016
Or could it be ticket sales were not great in the past so he moved to a smaller place? Gwinnett capacity is 13K, Lakewood's is 19K.

Also, this date isn't up on Margaritaville yet, so I hesitate to share it with my friends. What is the source for this new information?

Glad he's coming to Atlanta, but not real excited about it being indoor. What was tailgating like last year?
Thanks!
