Who's Going to NASHVILLE? 5/26/16
Because I AM!!!!!
The tickets are slightly more expensive because the amphitheater is small... I believe capacity of almost 6,000.
They don't usually allow tailgating but Broadway closes the roads off to cars and they throw a HUGE Margaritaville Block Party all day long.

I am also in! Should be a good time.
My whole world lies waiting behind DOOR #3! In the meantime, I am just sippin' on a margarita.........

I'm thinking about going. Maybe there will be some sunshine, instead of all the rain we had when I was there 3 years ago.

Amazing this venue is getting a show with capacity of just over 6 grand. That said, an awesome time could be had with Downtown by day, Buffett by night, then Downtown by late night!! If I could make it work...........

That wasn't fun but I did get a ticket. Now I just need airfare to drop a little and find a flight that doesn't get to Nashville at 10:40pm.

Omg you're going to come? Yay!!!! Weather should be nice because it's late May. Less stormy than April like 3 years ago.
Show is sold out now.
I got Section 102, row U by myself. Lots of friends and some family did not get tickets at all.
Where are your seats?

I'm in 101, row B, seat 1. It's on the outside aisle but from the seat map it doesn't look like the outer seats are too far outside like at some venues.

Yea it's a REALLY small venue. How did you manage that close??? That's 12th row total. I am 17th row because I managed to get Row G in 103

I was surprised I was able to get that close. The first time I tried, I got row Q. I thought that was too far back so I threw it back and tried again. I kept getting even worse seats, including one in the last row in front of the lawn, then on about my 6th or 7th try the row B seat came up and I grabbed it.

It's a new venue, it's outdoors and on my 3rd trip to Nashville I'd like to:
1. stay in a hotel that wasn't a f'n dump (first trip);
2. have some sunshine instead of 3 days of rain (second trip)

Is this part of the new tour??? Since Greatwoods ( prior commitment) is out for me this year , I'm trying to find another venue to go to , always wanted to see Nashville ( been twice for conferences , but never left The Gaylord ), so this could be a possibility!!!

Nashville has to be the new tour. The Frisco show was the first one announced as part of the new tour and that's only 2 days after Nashville.

SumBitch. I never saw the onsale date for this one (missed the front page ad for it) Was still in debate mode but after making my first trip to Nashville last Oct. (crappy weather too) I'm looking forward to getting back there sooner rather than later. This may have been a good reason to make the trip. Loved the strip in Broadway. Snoozin' & Loozin' I guess on this one.

Yep this is on the new tour. The venue is not even a year old and it's gorgeous so highly recommend. It's also very small so it's like a personal little show. Only 6k capacity.
The venue is downtown... easy quick walk from downtown where the Jimmy Buffett block party will take place.
Hotels that are good hotels nearby are The Hutton, Loews at Vanderbilt, and some Marriotts. I recommend Sheritan Music City if you're flying in and want a hotel by the airport which is not far from downtown. You can get a room for 80 a night on Priceline and other sites. It's upscale.
Also recommend Maxwell house as you can get a good deal there on those sites too. It's nice and between the airport and downtown.. only like 7 minutes from downtown. Easy Uber rides especially since there's no parking at the venue. It's cheaper to uber than to park downtown.

Kasey, are there any hotels within walking distance of the venue? If there are, I'm sure they'll be more expensive but keep in mind I used to live in NY so I'm used to sticker shock.

I saw some in the 179.00 range , also a best western for about 100.00 , but i'm not sure how close that is.LIPH wrote:Kasey, are there any hotels within walking distance of the venue? If there are, I'm sure they'll be more expensive but keep in mind I used to live in NY so I'm used to sticker shock.
