Is anyone else having trouble buying a parking pass?

Be there early to claim a good lawn seat. I cannot understate how terrible the lawn is at this venue. We will be right there with you!

We got PH club tickets, so I have no idea where we will be seated. Looking forward to tailgating in new venue, though.

Re: Who's Going to Austin May 31st?
Just for kicks, I checked tickets yesterday and there were no lawn available and sparse other tickets. Maybe it is close to selling out......or we all know ticketmaster can show bunches one day and not the next.
I did have a guy call me from the venue yesterday to make sure I got my parking straightened out....I asked him about generators in the parking lot and he told me that normally they do not allow any non-contained generator but he was not sure for this show.
I am still glad to have hook-ups, better safe, than miserable sleeping!

Not sure if this link will work but search Austin360 parking on Ticketmaster or go to the Austin360 page and click on buy parking.

Jump Up and I are going to buy parking this weekend. Should we just buy a pass to park and then head over to the RV lot or what?

I am thinking that just buying parking is the best way. We did the RV hookup parking and it is away from where 'the action' was last year. The regular parking where we parked seemed to be a good location. I guess you really can't tell but I am thinking that would be our best gathering spot....we can have two spots to gather, one on each side.txaggirl91 wrote:Jump Up and I are going to buy parking this weekend. BEG what do you think, you had more experience with the venue last year than we did?

Re: Who's Going to Austin May 31st?
We can do the multiple spot thing and get there early and get give end spot like last year if we want the car lot to day tailgate in. Then the RV folks can come over.
Just need to get the game plan going..,

Re: Who's Going to Austin May 31st?
We did the two day camping so we will be there on Friday at noon. So we will have a better idea of what is going on before Saturday morning. If like last year seems like most of the Tailgate stuff was set up in lot A, with cars to the left and dry RV's to the right. I guess a car could park to the right as well with a dry RV pass to get a larger spot. I think they are $40 vs $30 for a regular. Somewhere I read the size but I cannot remember for sure.txaggirl91 wrote:We can do the multiple spot thing and get there early and get give end spot like last year if we want the car lot to day tailgate in. The hookup parking is future around by F. Did not seem like a lot going on over there last year, but that could have just been the weather impact. Curious to see what BEG thinks.
We can certainly set up camp at our RV but I do not know how much space is at each spot.....but it does give us a cool refuge.

I never saw an option to buy parking for lots B or D. Did anyone get parking in either of these lots?

If I was JumpUp, I would be one proud Momma, she raised him righttxaggirl91 wrote:The 31st is high school graduation day for JumpUp and Teach's keet #2. Nate has decided to forgo graduation and attend the concert. They have checked with the school and he is not required to go to graduation.
We need to plan a graduation ceremony for him at the tailgate. I'm sure we can come up with something unique. I'll bring my funny Ph.D. hat and hood to make it official.

Re: Who's Going to Austin May 31st?
We went to Austin last year. FWIW, here's my 2 cents....
The lawn isn't awesome, nor is the Lot A parking. The lawn is smaller, which seems good, but they didn't slope it correctly, so if you are a few people back from the front edge of the lawn, it's hard to see over a tall person's head to see the stage. Plus there's less real estate in general. Don't get me wrong....it's not awful. It's just not as nice as The Woodlands or other lawns that have a good slope to them. Having said that, I did buy lawn for this year because I can't stand folks telling me to sit down in the seats.
I am also not a fan of the Lot A parking because it's easily a mile from the entrance. No big deal going in because they run a tram and folks trickle in so if you go early you can get a ride easily. Going out however, is a hassle. Huge wait for the tram. And you're tired and now you have a mile walk back to the car. I pre-purchased lot C just to avoid that. Our Tailgate is portable so we will just roll on over toLot A for the prep arty and head back to pack up before the show starts.
Overall, this just isn't my fav venue...but it was freezing cold and brand new last year...worth a second chance I figured. We shall see...

This is our normal set up in Frisco (which is only half a mile from my house), but I won't be able to make the Frisco date this year. Do you think this set up would work in Austin?
