Holy Spicoli! The BN Critters Book is published!

Post by surfpirate »

Firstly, apologies for the lack of new comic strips.... I've been working
very, very late night hours on multiple Buffett related projects (only one of which is mine).
I'll get back to the FUNKHOUSE9 storyline soon.

I'm inching closer to the release and publication of "the book" ....

.... somewhere between 350 and 400 pages (nearly 1" thick),
paperback, perfect bound, color cover and grayscale pages*
I should be able to price it below $20

* there will also be a full color paperback version
and a wonderfully large, hard cover full cover version as well
but they will be more expensive.

it's getting closer to being ready for the publisher ....
I just received the draft manuscript from the printers
(needed for making margin notes for the final edits) ....
it is 90% completed ... but this last 10% is killing me
but I've never enjoyed working so much any project -
I am loving having the time to finally finish this book ...

700+ comic strips ... plenty of bonus material,
background information including your online comments
and contributions from over the years
...
and more.

It will be available from the publisher and on Amazon as well.

here are sample pages, chapter headings,
and a potential front and back cover design
(I'm still working on that)

Fan-freaking-tastic!!!!

I'm gonna need multiple copies. A standard version for everyday use, a paperback version for the bathroom and one of the fancy hard bound, full color versions for the coffee table. And I don't even have a coffee table. But I might have to buy one just for this book.

Thanks. I don't know if I'll have it all pulled together in time for Bristow,
but I sure hope so. I have two other book projects
on my plate at the same time that are sapping my resources.

One of the projects I am helping with is also a Buffett Book (not mine).

Yes. A beer. You buy me a beer, and I'll sign your book.
Then I'll buy YOU a beer, and you sign my copy.

See how neatly that works?

My objective is to over time, get every BNer I know to sign my copy.
