Okay gang, I'm calling my shot.

Due to the fact we've had a down year in sports this year (other than MSU's run to the final four, I Guarantee one of JB's local references this year will be an Izzo staying at MSU comment!!

Not Izzo, but Galarraga's perfect game. Maybe as an intro to Growing Older but Not Up. Or a cover version of Can't You See. :D

Dead on Chip............I retract my Izzo prediction.
How about intro to Jamaica Mistaica and renaming it Comerica Mistaica. Or, "We'd like to dedicate this one to Jim Joyce".....A Lot to Drink About!!

Better late checking in than never, lol. Yes, we're going. No big setup this year. We'll be with the DPHC. BTW I have a couple of extra pavillions in center GG if anyone needs them.

No more GGs. I just sold them.

I am planning on having lots of booze and will be really upset if I am not able to drink it in the lot... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I am planning on having an extremely memorable first concert!!!

I thought you might jump on that one!

Guess what: I may not have to work next week!

Consider this your personal invitation to cross the border and come to Michigan. :D
You didn't give me a personal invitation ............ like that would stop me.
I could ask Carol if I can come .........she will say yes.....'specially if I give her a dallar

I knew you'd be there, it's Barb I'm worried about! And Carol is 50/50 herself, depending on what the jury coordinator says. :-?

WHAT~!!!!
Tell her to ask, if the person gets the death penalty do they fry or get shot?
That otta prove she isn't stable enough to be a juror, but plenty stable to attend a Buffett concert.

Sayin a prayer for ya Carol

Welcome to BN, islandpilot! You've picked a great venue for your first concert. Read back a few pages to learn about the park n' ride - the party starts there early and then things move over to the DTE lot. Pretty much anything goes. Just watch out for Gumbopirate & his shot ski!

You DO have your "Buffett Virgin" sign, right? 8)
Our group will have the shotski again this year, Marty! You have under a week to practice your group-drinking technique, so find a ski and practice, practice, practice!

I believe the actual owners of our ski will be serving a drink called chubby moose...but I think it is more fun to call it "Moose Chub..." People give you funny looks when you say your and your three friends just swallowed moose chubs at the same time...

Couldn't find a Chubby Moose cocktail. Did find a Chubby Chekah Champong drink. Rum, soda, Triple Sec & Vodka! :o

Hope to meet a few of you this time around..I've been here for a handful of years now, as well as concerts, but still each of you of just an avatar or signature other than a face. Perhaps that will change!

Getting ready for Detroit...I can't believe it's only four more days!!! I think we will try to leave Cleveland around 9 a.m. if I can get my friend going that early. That puts us up in Detroit around 1 or so...we'll try to check into the hotel early and then head to either the Park and Ride or straight to the lot if it's open by then. Can't wait to meet some of you! Make sure you say hi if you see me...I'm usually pretty easy to spot. :D I will also have another friend with me in a sharksuit, too. We started our suits yesterday but mine is not done quite yet...will be working on it here and there for the next few days, I'm sure. Anyway, looking forward to this show...I always love going to new venues and this one sounds like a lot of fun.

The shotski sounds interesting...never seen one before.

Hey, you remind me of the guy that started this thread....only maybe a little older...

You got me on your list, Captain?

Chip, sorry to hear that "the jury's still out" on Carol...

Wouldn't want her to not have anything to yell at me for...

Fins crossed & we hope she can make it. :D

AJ, I've been working on my shotski technique and I've found it works better if you don't put the shortest guy (me) in the middle. Looking forward to the new shot - I think!
A most mysterious calling harbour
So far, but yet, so near
Where I see the day
When my hair's full gray
and I finally...disappear. BUT NOT YET!!
