I will be there!

This will be my first Buffett concert since 2 back in the 70's.

Boy, is THIS gonna be different from back then !!

I have an origianl poster from Jimmy's 1976 appearance at UT in Knoxville TN hanging up in my office!

My oldest son and daughter will also be along and we plan to try and get into the McPhins party. My son is a big fan of Jeff Allen.

We are only about two hours away so will probably just drive back after checking prices on downtown hotel rooms! Yikes!
Yeah, we got a room for $160 a night, then a smartypants friend got a room for $100 because of his military discount. And he keeps emailing us his reservation confirmation page to us to remind us. Smartypants.

April 30 Friday night 7:00 PM
Peter Mayer and Friends will be performing at The Rutledge at 410 4th Avenue South, Nashville, TN http://www.therutledgelmv.com/
Peter will "get by with a little help" from some of his Coral Reefer friends, as they perform songs from Peter's latest "Goodbye Hello" CD, as well as favourites from his other CDs.
The Rutledge seats just 250, is two blocks from downtown Nashville "concert ground zero" and is an easy walk from several downtown hotels.
Tickets sold by the venue go on sale Fri March 5 (time not announced yet) and the cost is $25.

May 1 Saturday afternoon pre-show party 12:00 Noon thru 6:30PM
Rippy's Bar on the corner of 5th & Broadway (200 feet from the arena) http://www.rippysbbqnashville.com/
We've got a huge party room upstairs with access to a rooftop patio overlooking Broadway's Honky Tonk Row and The Sommet (Bridgstone) concert venue.
DJ Jeff Allen from http://www.beachfrontradio.com/ will spin Trop Rock and Party Tunes all afternoon and is loaded up w/ great prizes & give-aways!
$10 entry gets you a raffle ticket and wristband for our private event.
Cash bar with Landshark Lager (and maybe Margaritaville Rum if the special order gets delivered) and kitchen open all afternoon.
Chinese Auction for Parrothead gift baskets containing things like t-shirts, trop-rock CDs and other items with proceeds to benefit The Nashville Rescue Mission for the homeless. http://www.nashvillerescuemission.org/
Coral Reefers Nadirah, Ilo, Peter, Jim and Doyle will hang out, sign autographs and take pictures with us for an hour long Meet-N-Greet before the concert! (edit to add this bit of legaleze requested by artist management) The Artists that will be attending the Meet & Greets will be confirmed according to the tour and individual schedules, and are subject to change.

Boundry resturant. We went there for our first anniversary dinner, they treated us like royalty! The ostrich steak was to die for!!!

I was just at rippys saturday. I saw kids there. So I would say the venue is ok. But should ask someone just to be sure.

I get to Nashville fairly often and there is great place to eat on Broadway close to the river and the SOMETT Center called Paradise Park bar and restaurant. It is based on "trailer park" decor and the burgers are really great! Check it out!
