First of all, the public school thing.
In no way do I think that I am not getting a good education in public schools. Many of my friends who originally went to private high schools have come back, for many reasons. One major reason is that my high school offers many AP courses (college courses given in high school). You can graduate with more than
30 college credits. The local private schools have very few, if any. Furthermore, 99.9% of public school teachers are great. People tend to overestimate chances of a molester getting to their kid, just like you overestimate the chances of winning the lottery. Just because those who are in those situations are highly publicized, it doesn't mean that you have any real chance of being in the same situation (hope you all get what I'm trying to get at). As for the remarks about Challenger, I can say that I am one of the
much more than 10% of students who can talk about it. Maybe children don't know so much about it is that it happened before most of them were born or too young to know what was happening. Do your kids know about the upcoming parliamentary elections in Britain and Bush might lose his buddy Tony Blair?
Let me just reiterate that I have nothing against private or home-schooled kids. Just don't think that your kids are any better than what seems to be EVERY kid who attends public school, because I guarantee(sp?) they're not.
As for the ticket prices
Unfortunately, phans have little to say about ticket prices. As long as there are enough buyers to fill the concert venue, then he has no reason to lower ticket prices because people are buying. Last time I checked, Radio Margaritaville is free and you can listen from there. I know it costs an arm and a leg, but we have little say
