The patient is slowly fading for the evening but we are enjoying the show even though we are missing it in person for the first time in 5 yrs.

We hold GW close to our hearts as it's the place we met a whole bunch of BNers for the first time. And those friendships have grown enormously :)
Are they as nice as those fantastic folks I met in Hershey last year?
You betcha

I wonder if this is a curfew thing with only 23 songs tonight? Huey Lewis opened the show in Frisco but we had 25 songs for that one.

I was at Great Woods once. (2010).
I don't remember much from that trip, but I'm told I had a great time.

Someone posted on FB that there are some significant storms rolling in according to radar. He mentioned that so maybe they shortened it in hopes of getting people going? (Or him in his plane and out of the turbulence?)

There was a slight sprinkle as we walked back to the lot.
As soon as we got to the cars, it opened up and there's a good amount of lightning as we wait to exit

This was happening a few short miles away at Gillette Stadium while we were at the show. The weather caused 2 delays at the NE Revolution match tonight. This happened some time before Jimmy went on. During the show you could see the sky light up a number or times.

I could see lightening all night , I wasn't sure if it was heat lightening or what , I think he cut it short due the storm coming in. Thank god I was parked close the theater , when I got in my car the skies opened. I'm guessing the majority of the BN crew got soaked , they were parked on another continent. I thought shows had to over by 11:00.

We bailed a bit early and thankfully we did. A soon as we reached our car it started to absolutely pour. If he stayed on for another encore it would have been an ugly scene leaving and esp up on the lawn. They had to stop a soccer game having juts a few miles away at Gillette Stadium around 9:30pm.

It was a combination of thunderstorms approaching the venue and Huey Lewis opening for Jimmy that resulted in Jimmy shortening his set

How was getting out of that lot. In my car at 10:33, I was on 495 at 10:55...fastest I ever got out..the drive home sucked with the rain

I didn't leave from the lot we had all set up in. I did drive in the John but Molly arrived later in the day and parked way in the back, I think it's lot 13. The same spot we were in a few years ago. So her and I left from that lot. We left just as WDWGDAS was finishing and despite being parked so far back we had no problems at all leaving the venue. We were in the car by 10:10pm and on rt 495 by 10:30. Navigating through that cone maze outside was a bit of a wild scene in the pouring rain though. I heard the last few songs on RM while driving. I was back home in Amherst, MA at 11:45.

Yeah the cones were a issue, especially when down pouring, got yelled by a cop with a attitude, I was following the other cars, so he's talking on my car about follow his directions...he made a comment that was unprofessional and almost snapped back....I just shook my head and rolled my eyes at him....got home 1:15
