Ooooo......and a beaver....and a plattypus.....yeah a plattypus to represent the ozzies in their desperate hopes of one day seeing Jimmy live! If I weren't already a snowPARROT, I'd love to be a beaver!
Just had a flash. Over on another thread the new insult "Buffettbot" got tossed around. But hey, what a good idea! If we had B-Bots, then they could appear simultaneously at lost of venues. Just keep the batteries charged, and off they go!

Real Life stuff. Good for my career world. Bad for my alter-ego "Critters" and BuffettNews world. Looks like I may have less time to devote to the Critters in the immediate future. We'll see how this plays out. It already impacted my ability to write a strip for today. Family and job have to come first. Fun and Critters come second.Bicycle Bill wrote:DittoSnowparrot wrote:What I don't like to see:

No big deal. Nothing dramatic here. In these days of company RIFs, any opportunity for more responsibility and more work is a *good thing*. Looks like I have to take on some new additional responsibilities and an additional team of employees to manage. More travel and here's the kicker, my days of telecommuting may be ending ..... I have to be in the office every day starting tomorrow.flipflopgirl wrote:((((((((((((((((((((SP))))))))))))))))))) lots of hugs!
That all adds up to less BuffettNews time and less time to be creative (write a comic strip and support the family of websites that go along with it). I've been writing the comic strip fresh each day. I usually save an hour or so each evening to write the next day's strip. I'll have to figure out a way to adjust to my new workload. Like I said, my family and career have to come first ... then I'll figure out a way to sneak in BN and Critters fun. I'm counting on the greater BN Critters family to step up and understand.

eeeewwwww on the in the office every day thingie
Where I worked I couldn't even look at BN without inviting a visit from the "internet police" and possible firing. Prolly a good thing for my productivity However I used to run home at lunch time to post.
I have no comic skills...or I'd offer to help out

"Here I come to save the daaaaaaaaay!"
Well, maybe not so much save the day, but if you need to get your "Critters fix" write me a letter! Hit the Dear Tipsy thread. It may not be a strip, but maybe it will get you through to the next strip.
~hug~ SP, I'll help ya out as best I can. Thanks for the job at the Tiki Times!

Yay for work that supports the family!

Best of luck at work, all the parrotheads understand! I just wish I could draw, I can't draw a decent stick person..You have got that right that your family and work have to come first. I got a big promotion this year and it has took a way a lot of idle time to play on line. On the other hand it has helped out to pay for lots of upcoming trips and a lot of golf in the near future...

I was wondering when the Critters would start "adventuring" on Island Time. No worries, SP. Gives us more time to gossip about them, come up with devious plans as to why they do the things they do, and probably give you enough fodder that you won't be able to sleep at night... (that's why you love us, right???)

I was wondering what was going on. Family and work DO come first. Good luck with the new responsibilities at work. Thanks for the daily smile you've been providing. Hopefully, you'll be able to work things out.

SP, I could get by with a Critters strip once or twice a week rather than daily (daily would, of course, be preferable).......
but please don't leave us entirely in the lurch here!!!

duckett sees Buffett. (ie... going thru the airport, flying, etc) Heck, you could even have him try his had at hurricane flying.

And this way your Critter-character gets into the strip some more too, eh???pojo wrote:duckett sees Buffett. (ie... going thru the airport, flying, etc) Heck, you could even have him try his hand at hurricane flying.
Or was Duckett going to try hurricane hunting with Jimmy in the Hemisphere Dancer? Not exactly a wise move, I would guess....

Re: BN Critters Storylines YOU'D like to see ......
I wonder if SP is going to do a strip where you see Critterville Cove after a wild and crazy New Years Celebration and if we can hear it on the Cocoville Telegraph.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
Life is short, live long!!
I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.
