I never really listened to Jimmy until the summer of 1997. My brother-in-law was a fan and played his music when my husband and I were visiting and I started to become interested. It wasn't until my brother-in-law had gave us his tickets to a concert that summer that I really became a parrothead. I have been going to concerts every year since.

I knew who he was but had none of his music. It was 1990, all the credit goes to an old girlfriend. She gave me Off To See The Lizard and SYKBH. I've had this disease ever since!!
On the corner of 'Walk' and 'Don't Walk' somewhere on US 1.

Saw my first Jimmy Buffett concert at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix Arizona, June 27, 1978. Broken leg and all. 6$ tickets.

I guess for me it was 1997. I had remodeled a basement room for a friend and as payment he took the Mrs. and I to the next in town concert. We saw Jimmy and the Reefers on the Banana Wind Tour, and I've been hooked ever since. Been to three shows in St. Louis (Please come every year Jimmy), and one in Chicago. The Keets made it with us to the Chicago Wrigley Field Memorial Day stop and I was proud as hell to see them enjoy themselves. Not been a Parrot Head as long as some, but as someone else said earlier I think I've always had that "Parrot Head" feeling!

I've been a fan of Buffett since July of 1990 when my parents took me to a show. I was 20. I was hooked.
As for being a Parrothead, I don't know what constitutes that. I haven't gone to any shows outside of where I live but I've only missed 3 tours since 1990. I don't own a grass skirt but I do post on this board and own most, if not all, of his studio albums. Everyone can draw their own conclusions and when the vote is tallied, let me know if I'm in. I want to learn the secret handshake.

Drinking Labatts 50 beer (at that time), smoking a Players Cigarette (quit smoking in 2000), listening to Jimmy and eating pizza...ah the high school memories!!
