West Coast dates
Any rumours of some West Coast dates ? I'm still hoping for an October Vegas date.
Re: West Coast dates
Traditionally west coast dates are announced last after all of the other dates have been announced. Bare in mind that Irvine Meadows Amphitheater is no more so Jimmy will have to find another venue to replace that one.

Re: West Coast dates
West coast dates should be announced shortly. It looks like almost all of the summer dates have already been announced.
Re: West Coast dates
There are already 3 West Coast dates announced:
San Deigo CA The Belly Up March 28th
City Walk Los Angeles March 30th
Las Vegas April 1st
The Irvine Meadows Amphitheater closed at the end of last Summer removing one of Jimmy's annual tour stops for ever

Re: West Coast dates
Traditionally, Buffett comes through California in October. My guess is that he will do the same this year. He played the Belly Up, however, that was for a few fortunate fans. The quick West Coast in early April probably had more to do with the Margaritaville opening in Studio City and the promotion of Escape to Margaritaville.
As for SoCal venues, well, we know that Irvine is no longer option. The Hollywood Bowl is a nightmare to get in and out of, so hopefully that is not a venue. The Greek Theater is to small. Years ago, Buffett stopped playing Irvine, and the Arrowhead Pond/Honda Center welcomed him. As for Glen Hellen, it is definitely not a desirable venue. Buffett played there in the 90s, and never returned. I have a feeling that he will play the Honda Center. Finally, now that Irvine is gone, that opens up the opportunity to play the Coors Amphitheater in San Diego. I am praying for shows in October with a Vegas weekend thrown in there.

Is the Pacific Amphitheater still open / viable. I don't remember too much about it as a venue but I saw him there in the late 80s.

Re: West Coast dates
Jimmy said during the April Vegas show that he would be back in October(or maybe 'fall', I don't remember exactly offhand) so even though he often speaks impulsively on when he'll be back, I still think that it's a good omen for you guys. Fins crossed for ya.
Re: West Coast dates
The official tour t-shirt only lists San Francisco as west coast show near the end of the tourMartyritaville wrote: ↑April 20, 2017 12:42 pm Jimmy said during the April Vegas show that he would be back in October(or maybe 'fall', I don't remember exactly offhand) so even though he often speaks impulsively on when he'll be back, I still think that it's a good omen for you guys. Re: West Coast dates
The Pacific Amphitheater is only used during the Orange County fair for concerts, which runs from July thru August. Nothing against LA and the Hollywood Bowl, but for the majority of people, driving in and out of LA is a nightmare. Not to mention, the Hollywood is not a great place for tailgating.commodore jim wrote: ↑April 20, 2017 11:41 am Is the Pacific Amphitheater still open / viable. Re: West Coast dates
I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for something....
The last time he came to Seattle (October 2012), the show wasn't announced until September. http://www.buffettnews.com/forum/viewto ... 46&t=89675

I know the voices in my head aren’t real, but sometimes they have really good ideas…..

The Filmore in frisco is booked on 10/21. So it won't be there then. There's still Tuesdays, Thursdays, and weekends around that date.
The bay area doesn't have any good tailgating venues.
It'd be nice to see Vegas again but JB's relationship with that town seems to be declining (as is the whole Vegas experience IMO).

Re: West Coast dates
I wasn't at the Las Vegas show, but a friend who was said Jimmy told the Canadians in the audience he'd see them in Vancouver in October and that he'd be back at the MGM Grand in October also.
Take it for what it's worth.

Re: West Coast dates
I am hoping for an LA show the weekend of the 28th. A return to the Hollywood Bowl or better yet the Greek Theatre would be awesome.

Re: West Coast dates
Starting to wonder if more dates will be announced. Does anyone know if he has announced at previous shows this year that he will be back again next year ?

Re: West Coast dates
Its a legitimate question. At many concerts in the past he has said see you next year. Gives fans an idea what the future holds. But laugh away if it makes you feel better.FINSUPinIdaho wrote: ↑May 31, 2017 1:53 pmHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....Like that means anything.Does anyone know if he has announced at previous shows this year that he will be back again next year ?

Re: West Coast dates
In prior years, Buffett has "avoided" the great Los Angeles years. Your best bet might be San Diego or hopefully, Vegas in October. Buffett has not played Glen Hellen since the 90s, so now that Irvine is no longer option, that only leave the Hollywood Bowl as a viable outdoor option. I have a feeling that Buffett is not playing the Los Angeles area.
