detroit or Michigan. anything?
Detroit? Anyone hearing anything.?
Was thinking of taking this year off but if jimmy has something new planned with the title of the tour then I guess I'm back in?
Wish someone had a lakeside festival or rothbury was still around

Would be nice if he came back to Pine Knob...just not the same at Comerica. Hoping for something towards the end of June after the Cleveland show maybe???

Hope you're wrong, but you're usually not. That date would fit into Jimmy's schedule, and the Tigers are out west.

Just heard that rumor from a Michigan PH and of course, came here to check. If Amo thinks it will happen, it will happen.

FYI beach bums....James Taylor plays PK Sunday night the 27th & has the 26th off!
Re: detroit or Michigan. anything?
judging from the past years, when jimmy played at pine knob, there would have been the announcement of the show by now, when he plays the ball park, it comes at a later date
please come back to
PINE KNOB!

I'm one of the few who enjoyed the two shows at comerica but even I was ready to go back to the knob.
If this holds up they need a big time opener or real cheap seats because I don't believe he market will hold up this year. I think you'll see half empty stadium.
Now if they pulled out zac or Kenny then it would sell out again.
I don't believe either has announced a Michigan show yet. James Taylor would be cool but I don't think PS&e would be to happy about him playing downtown the next night.

Playing just a mile from the border, Jimmy might be looking for an opening act that appeals to Canadians.

Sigh If he does Comerica again, I'm out. I skipped last year too. I went to the first Comerica show. Really didn't enjoy stadium atmosphere.

Not expecting Taylor to be an "opening act" or anything like that. If JB does come in for the 26th show as rumored gotta believe good chance JT at least comes out to join in with JB for Mexico or something....or possibly a return of favor by Jimmy for JT the next night.msu#1 wrote:I'm one of the few who enjoyed the two shows at comerica but even I was ready to go back to the knob.

Yeah I agree one will show up at the other more than likely. Was just pointing out that Olympia and PSE must be in a peeing contest and I'm sure the are getting real territorial now that the new red wings stadium will happen down the road.

Re: detroit or Michigan. anything?
Looking at the Tigers Schedule, I predicted 7/26 as the date for Comerica if it happens. Which just happens to be my 17th wedding anny, hello front row? LOL.
I guess I'm in the HUGE minority, but I've liked being downtown. I've liked being on the field, even if it cost me $$$$$. I've liked started our tailgate in our parking spot at noon. And last year we had the added benefit of Slow's for our tailgate! We have such a production now with our tiki bar and surfboard shot, and blow up dolls, that we never leave base camp. The sound to me on the field is fine.
I'm going where ever Jimmy shows up! Just please make that Detroit and not a roadtrip! We've got too much s*** to haul to away venues, these days, LOL.
I've been on the planning committee for my 20th HS reunion. We had picked 7/20 as the date of our reunion a year, which of course looks great when it comes to no concert conflicts. Yesterday they decided to move the date to 7/26. I can tell you where my loyalty will be that day

Re: detroit or Michigan. anything?
Just a interesting FYI
Kenny chesney is not touring this summer to work on writing new songs that don't s*** like his life on the rock cd. He is however scheduled to play the final George strait show and a couple charity shows..........
Zac brown has a large hole in his July schedule to fill with no Detroit show. He has built a strong relationship with Olympia entertainment by playing the past two nye's in Detroit at the Joe.
Again just some interesting info .
