Re: “Rescheduled” Buffett
I got an email from Live Nation about the Raleigh show being rescheduled and it said my ticket would still be good. One problem, I already received a refund last year so I don't have my ticket anymore.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

A bunch of BNers were going and were going to stay at a house of another BNer who lived in SD. Two days before the show Buffett's mom died so he canceled the concert. Closest I've come to seeing him on my birthday.
I still have the unused ticket.

He’d make double that in tips in the first hour alone back in his Golden Banana days.lime rickie wrote: ↑March 26, 2021 5:23 pm$35.00BottleofRum wrote: ↑March 26, 2021 10:45 am I was supposed to go to Buffett concert on my birthday, September 27, 2003 at Irvine Meadows, outside of SD. I've told previously of $6 lawn seats to see Marshall Tucker Band back in the day in NJ (it was the 70s, I'm old).
$35 would be a bargain these days.

How do you even know about the Golden Banana? I thought you were a Cape Cod/Vineyard denizen, "The Man from Nantucket". What were you doing slumming around on the north shore? Bachelor party at The Kowloon?drunkpirate66 wrote: ↑March 27, 2021 5:39 pm He’d make double that in tips in the first hour alone back in his Golden Banana days.

To be fair, that 2003 Irvine lawn ticket is only $9 cheaper than a 2020 Buffett great woods lawn ticket.

Irvine is gone now as a venue, isn't it? So that could add some value to the stub.BottleofRum wrote: ↑March 28, 2021 12:52 pmTo be fair, that 2003 Irvine lawn ticket is only $9 cheaper than a 2020 Buffett great woods lawn ticket.

Yes, it closed a few years ago. I never made it there for a show. I know it was often called Great Woods- west.

Refund from the canceled Columbia show was received yesterday. After 99 concerts that would have been my first in the front row.
It was too much tequila . . . . or not quite enough.

James Taylor with Jackson Browne PPD their full 2021 summer tour and moved it to 2022. It is noted that Taylor's annual July 4th Tanglewood show was not part of this tour and that there will be a separate announcement soon regarding the July 4 Tanglewood concert in the press release.

Re: “Rescheduled” Buffett
Whoops.... I am actually incorrect, they only pushed the dates back later into summer 2021 and will start the tour now at the end of July 2021 in Chicago, inside the United Center. They did put this statement out though:BottleofRum wrote: ↑March 31, 2021 4:21 pm James Taylor with Jackson Browne PPD their full 2021 summer tour and moved it to 2022. The DJ on Radio Margaritaville just said that Jimmy is going to be playing 5 shows next month with a few band members. The shows will be broadcast on M'ville TV for a subscription price. If you buy the subscription you get a free night at any M'Ville property and a coupon for Coral Reefer products.

Will be interesting to see the price for a virtual concert.
I'm aware of some charity/fundraising virtual things. Have any artists done actual virtual concerts yet?
