Leeland Sklar

The last couple of weeks I've been watching a lot of Youtube like most others. I came across Lee Sklar who is a bassist who has played with just about everybody over the last 50 or so years. He is mainly a studio musician but has toured with the likes of James Taylor,Toto, Carol King and Phil Collins just to name a few. ( He does mention Jimmy also). The stories he tells about the artists and the recording sessions are pure gold. He picks songs and as they play he plays along and tells the story of how it came to be. If yo can find some extra time in your day to watch.. He doesn't disappoint.

I've been watching him on YouTube for about a month (after listening to him for those 50 years).... what an amazing history.
He's played on about 2,600 albums and has performed with an amazing list of people:
