It's simple. Find a red line train. Get on the platform on the side that says toward Howard (not 95th/Dan Ryan, or you'll end up where you don't want to be), and ride until Addison. You'll be able to see the Wrigley lights from the left hand side of the train. Exit and voila!FINSUPinIdaho wrote: ↑April 24, 2017 1:26 pm Plane tickets and concert tickets are bought!
I am a little intimidated about the L and all that. I think we may make a dry run up to Wrigley from our hotel downtown on Friday just to check it out.

I do believe Red Line "Lake" is a 4 minute walk from our Downtown Hotel. We just make sure to head North to Addison correct? It's simple. Find a red line train. Get on the platform on the side that says toward Howard (not 95th/Dan Ryan, or you'll end up where you don't want to be), and ride until Addison. You'll be able to see the Wrigley lights from the left hand side of the train. Exit and voila!
Shall I hold the "Buffett Attire" until Wrigley so as not to look too touristy?
Going to do the tourist stuff Thursday/Friday (Navy P, the Bean etc.) anything we should for sure see? Billy Goat is across from our Hotel and a Giordano's is close (that is what I want to do).

Just head north towards Howard and you'll be fine! No need to hold the "Buffett Attire". Just don't act like a tourist and people won't think you are one. Navy Pier and the bean are good tourist spots, and you'll be at Wrigley on Saturday!FINSUPinIdaho wrote: ↑April 26, 2017 4:59 pmI do believe Red Line "Lake" is a 4 minute walk from our Downtown Hotel. Today, Cubs just informed me that they will begin printing concert tickets next week or the week after. Should have them by the end of the month

I called the ticket office yesterday. Talked to a young, very pleasant sounding lady. She said the tickets would be mailed out as soon as all the baseball tickets are printed for the year. She said to expect to receive them in 3-4 weeks.tropicalmindset wrote: ↑May 4, 2017 11:14 am Today, Cubs just informed me that they will begin printing concert tickets next week or the week after. I'm really puzzled. If the Cubs ticket office is saying the tickets haven't been printed yet and it'll be another 3 or 4 weeks before they're sent out, how did I already get mine? Unless they're going from the top down, I went with the cheap seats.

I'll be there! This will be my first travel adventure with my new guide dog Hope. Plus, I will be bringing my bonus daughter with me, and she will celebrate her 40th birthday experiencing her first JB concert. We are renting a house near WF with a group of people.

Re: Who's going to Wrigley July 15 2017?
Anyone know if any of the surrounding bars are having "tailgating" events, i.e. like that you may need to purchase advance tickets for? We're coming in from out of town and were planning on bar hopping all day until the show, but interested to know of any special events

I'm not sure of anyone having tailgating events, but Wrigley is practically surrounded by bars. I heard the last time that he played Wrigley it was like a big block partyLNDSHRK wrote: ↑May 25, 2017 10:06 pm Anyone know if any of the surrounding bars are having "tailgating" events, i.e. like that you may need to purchase advance tickets for? The last time Buffett played Wrigley, I think Murphy's Bleachers had something going on. Or maybe it was just very crowded because it's close. I remember they were selling "Margawrigleyville" t-shirts.LNDSHRK wrote: ↑May 25, 2017 10:06 pm Anyone know if any of the surrounding bars are having "tailgating" events, i.e. like that you may need to purchase advance tickets for?
