Who's Going to Cinci/Riverbend June 21st???

I searched and searched for a post about Cincinnati in this discussion and couldn't believe I didn't find one yet for this year.

So who's in for the Mecca this summer???

I am in. After the slight police fiasco last year with the parked line to enter lots, I'm curious to see if they are more strict this year for the 5-7AM crowd lined up on side of Sutton.

I plan to go but I've already spent 600 bucks on JB tickets so I may wait to get tickets closer to time for this show.

I guess I'll try to get tickets Friday morning. Last year we tailgated in the lot next to Coney Island. Thinking of bringing the camper again this year like we did a couple of years ago. Might try to get down by the river in the grass on the other side of Coney Island parking. Things seem to have really tamed down since the casino went in next door and put a damper on the party.

Does anyone on here have any info on how to get into one of these parking lots with a camper we are new to this site but not the concert we are done staying in hotels want to try out the camping scene it looked fun from where we were sitting

There is a partially grass lot on the corner of Sutton and Kellogg across the road from Coney Island. You have to get there really early that morning and line up down Sutton to turn right into that lot. They used to open it at 7am but I heard last year it got a little crazy and they didn't open that early.

Last year we were in the Coney Island lot without the camper. We stayed in a hotel. But there were people in the grass area down by the river in campers and RVs that probably either got there extremely early or the night before. I think that is what we'll try to do. They will usually let you stay until 9 or so the next morning.

We're going! Although we'll be on a plane in the air somewhere between Ohio and Miami, on our way to Key West on Friday morning when the tickets go on sale. Hoping for a WiFi connection on the plane, otherwise we get what we get when we land at 11:30 a.m!

We bring our RV down every year and park across from Coney Island. The lot opens at 8am and is usually full around 9:30am. Parking is free and if you have a camper Riverbend will let you spend the night. Just be courteous and help clean up the lot around your area. This keeps the campers in good graces with Riverbend and shows our appreciation to be able to spend the night

Nope. They aren't camping lots. Just fields basically. Most campers have generators.

Gary has to have his knee done over in March. Yes, the same knee he had replaced in 2014. Doubtful we'll make it A-FREAKIN'-GAIN !!! Maybe next year. I'm really sad about this. Ok, I'm sad about Gary's knee, too.

In years past,there is a bar with a live band on the Kentucky side of the river and the Cincy parrothead club parties at Margaritaville down town.In 4 years of following this thread,I don't rmember a hotel party.That's okay with me.I start the tailgate early.
