This is our first one as well, hope you get some responses. We have seen him 170+ times, with Jones Beach most recent, then 3 more after Paris in So Cal.

Our 4th concert in paris. The popular spot for pre concert seems to be Hard Rock but you can check Parrotheads in Paris on facebook for options.

Is it time to get excited about Paris? If it is your first time, you will have a story to tell for a lifetime. If you have been before you will know what I mean.

We're two American grownups...been in South Africa for a year goofing off. Headed back to US but stopping in Paris to hear JB twice. Should we have dinner? Post a reply.

I assume you mean before the show? The answer is easy - it depends on what type of tickets you have! On Friday when it's all seated it doesn't matter what time you get in the queue. On Saturday when downstairs is standing, what time you are in the queue governs how far forward you are!

Plenty of places to eat and drink within a stones throw of the venue, grab a seat and enjoy one of the most special 'tailgates' you have ever experienced 8)

Does this mean that the entire Saturday night show is a stand upper?; or only on the usual uptempo numbers? At my age, all standup makes for a really long - I guess I mean too long - night.

So are the seats not reserved o n Saturday even though it says I have a particular location? That will be brutal for us seniors.

If you have 'orchestra' they are downstairs and standing. If you have 'balcon' and a seat location then it is upstairs and assigned seats.

You should be aware - hardly anyone sits during the Paris show but there are no bad seats :D

Got it. I have had surgery though and it's hard for me to stand for that long. But Buffett is Buffett so I will handle it. We are downstairs both nights.

Do you get to stand in the place you are assigned by your ticket?

And thanks so much for your comments here!!!

On Friday you will get a seat assigned to you as per your ticket. On Saturday they remove the seats and its a free for all on the floor - to be at the front you need to be in the queue around the time dawn breaks :D :D

If you need somewhere to sit/lean etc. and you have a standing ticket you have 2 options: on each side of the floor there are two raised areas. Head for the railing on one of them and you can lean and have a great view over peoples heads to the stage.
The other option that you have had in previous years are some seats by the sound consul (middle/towards the back of the floor) that they have allowed people with standing difficulties to use. I suggest you ask about it as you go in the venue.
Its worth remembering that the floor in La Cigale slopes upwards towards the back so most people get a great view :D

If standing is a problem, sell your tickets for Saturday and join wifey and I for supper at Café de L'homme. It will still be expensive but its a view that even Jimmy would appreciate.
