I'm still thinking in my old Pine Knob/ DTE mentality and was planning on taking my big van complete with stand up access porta potty. But I also won't make it until just before 2:00 at the earliest, and that soggy lot will probably be too tightly parked for them to allow me in at that stage. Won't fit in a garage and even some normal street parking spaces.
So I better take the car instead........but the Porta John situation will be better than the 'Knob, right? Did'nt we see somewhere that the entire South boundary at River Walk will be potties? At the old Clarkston venue by the time you decided to go it took another hour between the walk and the line! I'm too old for that now.
So far I see two 12:00 and two 2:00 arrivals. I plan on being there by 9:00. If any of you want to exchange phone #'s message me. I will be happy to give parking lot updates Thursday morning!!!

Our group is looking at a 1:30 arrival. Check your PMs, I would love an update on the parking situation.
Got spoiled by 6 years with a Sprinter. Now we have an even taller Ford Transit, highest of the three roof heights available. I've got a chin-up bar INSIDE the van! Not sure how that potty tent would go over at the Riverfront! Slow roll was always so much fun with a cooler in the basket and abandoned buildings everywhere.

Colleen and Mike bring a potty tent to GW. But you have to have really good aim.
You only have two options - havin' fun or freakin' out...
The forecast i saw has things clearing up early week but 50% chance of showers Thursday come on sun gods.
The portal potty situation for hoedown looked pretty good from the drone footage so I don't think bathrooms will be a problem.
Just that whole parking thing if the weather goes south. I'd take some parking lot updates or check this thread if people want to post how full its getting as the day goes on.
Anybody ever hear of the pirates band that is playing during the preshow in the lot?

As a noted scientist of the Great Lakes region you know better than any of us that a forecast of 50% chance of rain five days out is the same as any of us could offer without any models or algorithms to rely on! Weather Gods have messed with us every weekend so far this season...... I'm counting on JB himself to bring us a sunny & dry Thursday with low humidity. Or cloudy and warm but dry. Or humid and cool and dry. Anything but storms. Then again it's been a while since a muddy rain drenched but warm show was in town. Might as well break in the new park properly!
Well 6 years ago on the same date as this Thursday I met my now Buffett partner in crime in a severe thunderstorm at pine knob waiting to meet our boyfriends, New Kids on the Block. While we stood in the storm we got word Michael Jackson had died....the night forever a memory!
6 years and 6 Buffett shows later (I'll spare you the new kids show stats, lol), we feel rain would actually be epic....
Of course we would prefer none....but we're okay if the cosmos wants to recreate the day (hopefully not severe storms though)
This saturated ticket market ain't all so bad. Just upgraded to row 4 in B thanks to StubHub for ridiculously low! Therefore, 4 extra lawns here if anyone's interested. Will sell below face.
Jimmy...PLEASE DO NOT shorten the set list to 25 with Sonny opening. We're here to see you and cutting 2-3, especially during the Comerica era, always made you leave feeling others got a full show at the other venues. In fact, maybe this is a good time to relive the KW concert and play 30+ on the River!
