Who wants to to stay @ Holiday Inn when the gates @ the venue will already be open by the time this party starts? They should consider starting much earlier
Hello all,
I am new to the community but thought I would jump right in to a "Who's going" thread. So here I go.
Firstly - for User SBParrothead here is a link (http://www.livenationvenue.com/first-mi ... phitheatre) to the info from live nation info on FMBA. They say that "There is a no tailgating ordinance for the venue" which i interpret as meaning we can , there is no information about grills.
Secondly - This will be my 2nd Buffett concert and has been at least 5years since my last. I have trouble getting to them because none of my friends are Parrotheads. My girlfriend bought her and I tickets to the show on the 28th so i would love to meet more Parrotheads. Who's all going, are you tailgating (should be of course).
Returning to a show after a few year hiatus. Hoping tailgating goes off smoothly. I would think the management in Tinley would have figured out the crowd and what a benefit it is to have Buffett play there over other venues. Of course, I could be dead wrong.
As long as everyone agrees to show up and wait in line @ noon or so, there will be enough of a traffic impediment that they'll have to let us in early again!

I hope to see a bunch of my Buffett buddies this year. I missed Jimmy last year (first time since 1994 that I missed going to at least one of his shows) due to summer commitments. From what I have heard I am glad that I missed Northerly Island last year, although I may not have gone to that one even if I was home.
Going too, bringing my fiancée who has never seen a Buffett show. Would love to hook up with a few of my concert buddies. I think the normal tailgating rules are usually suspended for Jimmy Buffett especially since they know that they lost him a few years.

I'm leaving tomorrow (Thursday) and staying at the Holiday Inn in Tinley Park, Lee. I'd LOVE to see you again. And you're right. You did NOT want to be at Northerly Island last year. The non-lawn seaats were okay, but there was the constant threat of rain (nothing there was covered), parking was non-existant, and negotiating the AWFUL traffic in downtown Chicago was a huge P.I.T.A
I'm really glad it's back at Tinley Park this year.
