On the ESPN web page, there is an article about songs that pro athletes would never want to hear. Margaritaville is listed as a John Daley no-no.

Could that be that he is a recovering (sometimes) alcoholic. I knew I never liked him for some reason.

Just read the story. It's done from a joking stand point. Songs these guys would never want to hear. Daryll Strawberry "Cocaine"; Ricky Henderson "Your So Vain" etc. It doesn't say Daly's a Bubba hater.

Daly is awesome. I met him at a Orioles game two years ago and then followed him while he was playing in the local PGA tournament that summer. Just like me and you and would fit right in at a Bubba show for sure!

Actually...if you read the article...this is not Daly saying he doesn't like that song. Its the writer saying it would be a bad song for him....I actually bet you that John Daly has a little parrothead in him!
