Good morning cj. Have you had the paddle board out yet? I've seen people on jet skiis, but it can't be very warm.

Morning BN

I'm so glad we don't live in the east.
Traffic is horrendous, it was been raining since we got off the plane and it is a lot cooler than we expected.
I had to buy jeans so I wouldn't freeze.

Hey there Molly. What part of 'the east' are you in?
It has been much cooler than normal in VA so far but I think it's the spring we haven't had in so long that we've forgotten what it was like

Right now we are in Stamford CT but heading to NY soon and then to Annapolis the next day. We dread the drive back to Dulles airport in this traffic.

Every now and then when I'm driving around town, I see one of those overhead electronic signs on the main highway through Myrtle Beach with a warning about "heavy traffic ahead." After living in NY until I was 60 years old, I think "heavy traffic, that's so cute."

My problem isn't traffic, it's the kamikaze deer . I hit one last week.

Good morning BN. Our rush hour traffic here about the same as Atlanta at 5 AM on a Sunday. Certainly don't miss it.

Good morning. At 2:30 this morning I was watching TV when the motion sensor light went on outside.
Usually it's a rabbit or a skunk. This time it was a full grown deer in a very tight spot between the
carport and the neighbor's fence. As soon as I looked out the window she took off running across the street.
We've had deer in the yard before but never this close to the house. :pirate:

Good morning pholks! Miss Charley got spayed Thursday and is doing well, she has gained 12.3 lbs since we rescued her! I am in charge of "assorted cookies" for the family cookout tomorrow, so after a quick straightening up of the house, I'll be in the kitchen! Lemon Bars, Carrot Cake Cookies with Cream Cheese frosting and my regular Triple Chocolate Chip Cookies will be made today! Have a great day!

Your Public Service Announcement for the Memorial Day Weekend:

Bits has his own tiki bar that serves "adult" beverages.

Bits and friends may be doing a little "adulting" at the tiki bar this weekend.

Bits doesn't drive when he's been "adulting".

Bits is smart.

Be like Bits.

Stay safe, my friends.

I should probably go online and activate my wristband for the Carolina Country Music Festival, it starts in less than 2 weeks.

The 3 headliners are Darius Rucker on June 9, Kenny Chesney June 10 and Jason Aldean June 11. I'm not a big fan of Jason Aldean so I doubt if I'll stay for his full set, but I want to see Darius and little Kenny. I also want to see Kip Moore, Big & Rich, Luke Combs and Chris Young. I saw the last 2 guys playing in a bar when I was in Las Vegas for the Buffett concert last month, the CMA awards were in Vegas that weekend and there were a lot of country muscians playing at different places in town. There are probably others worth seeing, there are about 30 performers, but I haven't checked the complete schedule. There's also what they're calling the Kickoff Concert on June 8 but other than Montgomery Gentry, whose music I'm not familiar with, I don't know who's playing that night.
