Didn't he play the song for "my old man" after he died?
I don't know, but he definitely played Defying Gravity for him as an encore in Philly. It's on the Encores album.
We were at Philly that year. After that song there were fireworks

Such a sad day. Although I never met her, we talked online from time to time. As soon as she found out that she was going to be a grandmother again, she sent me a private message and told me about it, but made me promise to keep it quiet. I don't know why she told me of all people. Maybe because my wife and I were expecting, or if she was pm'ing everyone. But she was so happy. It seemed like it was just what she needed. It felt so good to sense she was so happy in the midst of everything else going on. I'm sad she won't be here to welcome the little one, but am happy to know she'll be ensuring a safe arrival. She will be just as proud there as she would be here.
