Afternoon BNers
Gosh. Ya'll just getting the vaccine. We have been done over a month. Even Ryan is almost ready for his 2nd one. Guess it is good to be old and in Texas.

It's 80 degrees but the humidity is only 24%. That's ridiculously low for here.

There was just a story on the 5:00 news about a shooting that happened in a bar a couple of weeks ago. The victim died and 4 employees of the bar were arrested for obstruction of justice. When police arrived at the scene the employees were cleaning up, including mopping up the victim's blood and throwing the shell casings out. I don't think I'll be visiting Donny's Saloon anytime soon.

Re: Sunshine MONDAY @ the MSC
Cloudy with a few showers off & on for us today & we only made it up to 62°.
I played hooky from work. Just needed a mental health day & the weather cooperated in that I wasn't wanting to be outside doing anything fun so all is well
I'll start making dinner soon. Steaks on the grill with string beans & mashed potatoes!

A butcher recommended chuck eye steaks. It's smaller than rib eye with the same marbled fat at a lower price. Yum....Me!
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

The Hurricanes have a game tonight and they had a pregame ceremony honoring one of their players, a guy named Jordan Staal. Tonight is the 1,000th game of his career. They showed the team coming out for pregame warmups at 6:30, they were all wearing #11 jerseys, Staal's number. They're playing Detroit and one of his brothers plays for Detroit. He has another brother who plays for Montreal and a 3rd brother who is a former teammate of his with Carolina but is retired now.

One of the announcers just said the Hurricanes players all chipped in and gave Staal a trip to Pebble Beach so he can take his 3 brothers with him and play golf.

Every state is different based on population and availability. I got my first one in January, 2nd in February - because I work in a hospital. E got his first one in March, 2nd one in a week.springparrot wrote: ↑April 12, 2021 2:35 pm Gosh. Ya'll just getting the vaccine. We have been done over a month. We're planning a quick trip in June for E's nephew's wedding. Hard to believe!
Watching Avalanche hockey, and so far they're winning.
Not knowing where exactly Rabz lives, heard of some pretty awful weather for Australia today.

Beautiful, if cool today hereabouts. (I am in Sydney on the east coast).SMLCHNG wrote: ↑April 12, 2021 9:45 pmEvery state is different based on population and availability. Over in the west they've had a cyclone or two over the last few days. The remnants of the cyclones are causing some pretty fierce winds around South Australia leading to so forest and grass fire issues. It is very late for cyclones, cyclones almost never go that far south, and the fire season finished a couple of months ago.
Much weirdness afoot but apparently it's not due to climate change (or so said the fossil fuel mining industry spokesman).
