Good Morning everyone!
Were were up at 5:30 this morning for Kevin's 6:56 hip steroid injection. We hope this one lasts for another 10 yrs but the surgeon is not quite as optimistic. We're actually thinking to get it done this year when/if hospitals ever open up for elective surgeries.
He had a surgical consult on Wednesday for his 5 middle back disk issues. That guy says he strongly suggests to do nothing until quality of like is down to 0%. It's a total fusion and long term rehab with all sorts of risks because of the amount of discs and the area and how bad it is. Dr says to schedule standing appointments for steroid injection so he's always on the calendar "just in case". When the pain hits its excruciating and usually takes 6-8 weeks to get an appt. This way he wouldn't have to wait too long and if he doesn't need the appt he can always cancel and push it out another 4
(Still waiting for Soldier Son to come back from DC)
Was your son one of the guys that had to sleep in the parking garage?
We're hoping to get notice today that we'll get shot on Sunday...
We heard an interview on the radio with a 76 yo lady who had just been to a drive-thru vaccination site in Tennessee.
She said they were so prepared and efficient that it was "almost like the drive-thru window at Chick-fil-A."
I know the voices in my head aren’t real, but sometimes they have really good ideas…..

No -- can you even believe that!!! Brandon is told he will be heading home on Sunday -- there are other soldiers coming in to take his units place (not sure if they are from PA).
Happy Friday, peeps and it looks like I missed a lot.
Sistah Linda, glad yah boy is safe and sound and even give Lunkhead a hug, too.
Sistah Colleen, {{{hugs}}} to you and girl, hope you left the purses and wallets at home for the boat show. Sounds like you're adjusting to FL life, or at least Mike is.
Almost whole year since any live shows for anyone.
You only have two options - havin' fun or freakin' out...

Had 1 of our career chiefs retire today & I had the pleasure of giving him his 'thank you for your service' send off on the radio at the end of shift. He then replied on the radio & I could hear his voice break. I wasn't tearing up, it was sinuses, I swear
I talked to my nephew for an hour. He bought a a place that needs upkeep. The previous owner installed a small in ground pool that hasn't been used for years. The cover sagged and had frogs living in it. When they moved there in September, they found 15 snapping turtle hatchlings as well. The little guys are wintering in the garage, safe and sound.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.
Love me some Chick Fil A!
I have to have their special sauce though. Claim to fame, my friend Travis's (some of y'all have met him) uncle created that sauce for our local store. His uncle was the owner. Corporate realized how much of a hit it was & he sold the recipe to them so now the Chic Fil A sauce is available at all their locations

I've never had Chick Fil A. When I lived on Long Island the closest one was on the campus of NYU. I wasn't going to take a 35 minute ride into Penn Station on the Long Island Railroad then take the subway downtown to Greenwich Village for a chicken sandwich. Now there's one a little over a mile away and another one in the food court at the mall but in the 8+ years since I moved here I still haven't tried it.

I really like their nuggets & tenders! I've had their breakfast chicken burrito several times too. The sauce is a must have for me though regardless of what I get. It's similar to honey mustard.
